Journey of Resilience: King Joseph Unveils 'Six Protons, Six Neutrons, Six Electrons'

Renowned artist King Joseph, originally Joseph Dempsey Franklin, born on June 9, 1980, in Brookhaven, MS, to Loretta Franklin and Howard Kelly, has released his much-anticipated album 'Six Protons, Six Neutrons, Six Electrons.' Relocating to Sacramento in 1984, King Joseph's formative years coincided with the rise of hip-hop culture in the early 90s. Growing up amidst inner-city challenges, he found solace in music, drawn to its storytelling essence, influenced by icons like E-40, The Click, and Ice Cube.

In 1997, a significant shift occurred as King Joseph moved to the Midwest, facing personal hurdles that led him into trouble. With support from his Uncle Roddy Kelly, they traversed the nation, engaging in various endeavors that instilled a hustler mentality. Immersed in street life, King Joseph forged lasting bonds, notably with Moosie, leading to the formation of a rap group and the recording of numerous tracks.

Upon his return to Mississippi with his uncle, King Joseph established his studio, yet struggled to define his unique sound. In 2008, he returned to California, enrolling at Sacramento City College to study music, refining his skills in beat-making and recording. Over the years, King Joseph has tirelessly honed his craft, producing over a thousand songs that reflect his life's narrative, inviting audiences to join him on his musical journey.
