Icy Lando whose real name is Victor Buyuka is a 26 year old Kenyan Rapper, Singer and Producer. He grew up in a humble background of a family of 3 siblings in Kayole which is one of the deadliest neighborhoods in Kenya in crime. He fell in love with music from his elder sister who was a singer and a dancer of an RnB group. He started music as a singer while in high school when he joined the school choir at the age of 15 and was an active member of the annual Kenyan Music Festivals which is a competition for school choirs that takes place every summer in Kenya involving every school from the country. As a lead vocalist in the school choir and impressing every year, he caught the eye of directors of the Kenyan Boys Choir, Kenya’s greatest ever music group who gained famed when they were invited to perform at the Inauguration of Barrack Obama in Washington D.C back in 2009 an event which led the choir to sign major record deal with Universal Music Group UK in 2009 and released their only album under Universal “The Spirit Of Africa” which peaked at number 21 at the UK Official Album Chart back in 2009,which Icy Lando was a part of. During his 4 year stint with the choir he managed to work and record music with global acts such as Nelly Furtado, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez amongst many prominent acts across the world and networking with different people in the music industry from across the world. He decided to pursue a solo career in HipHop & R&B after he met UK Producers N-Geezy and Fliptunes Music, the latter who has worked with major label artists such as Tory Lanez, David Jay and The Game.
