JNY.V whose real name is Johnny Martinez II is a Pop, Hip Hop and Alternative Rock recording artist based in San Francisco, CA . JNY V was born and raised in Queens, New York and also lived a good part of his life growing up in Maryland. He is of Puerto Rican, Dominican, Cuban and Brazilian heritage. His style is a mix of urban and punk and comes from a music family. His mother was a DJ and his father has been in jail since JNY V was three years old
JNY.V’s music is based on real life experiences he’s been through. Described as a creative, experimental and emotional artist, JNY.V talks about battling and facing drug addiction in his new single “Pretty White”. He grew up idolizing Cage, Linkin Park, Lloyd Banks and Kanye West and has been compared severally to Trippie Redd and XXXtentacion . He has also supported and played with Lil Skies, Lil Debbie and J Stalin. He’s worked with producer Cormill Stylez T in the past too.
